Agua De Florida, Unisex Cologne, Personal & Spiritual Use
Florida Water is believed to be a potent alcohol based cologne that enhances ritual/ spiritual works. It has become a staple in spiritual practices, used for many rituals including offerings, regular cleansing and blessing. Eau De Cologne (known now as 4711) by Jean Maria Farina, was marketed in 1806, patented in Germany in 1818. This was an alcohol-water based cologne with bergamot, neroli, rosemary and lemon. An American version of Eau De Cologne was trademarked in 1808 by Murray & Lanman called... (you guessed it) Florida Water with notes of bergamot, lavender, jasmine, rose and clove. It was never intended to be used for spiritual purposes which is why it is required that we bless/pray over/set intentions with all ingredients but especially commercial colognes.
Things are advancing spiritually at a rapid pace so I felt it was fitting to have the option of a fresher, uplifting, more balanced Florida Water befitting of the Age of Aquarius. I’ve personally found the original Florida Water a little too sweet at times (which I believe to be due to notes of cinnamon, sweet orange, orange flower and lemon). My personal preference is a more crisp scent better able to cut through stagnant or negative energies, heavier on the lime (which lower energy entities run from) with middle notes of Rosemary (which I work very closely with) and of course Sage in (order to strengthen its protective, cleansing properties) with base notes such as Frankincense that help to ground us. It has a high percentage of alcohol around 75% so this can be used as a disinfectant post shave, on hands/surfaces as a sanitiser, great as an aftershave/perfume or cooling agent in the summer months. Medicinal as well as spiritual. It also does the mind and body good when inhaled deeply. The aroma enhances a feeling of well-being, helps focus the mind and relax the body. I have included Bayberry to call in blessings/prosperity and genuine Holy Water from Jerusalem amongst other powerful essential oils. This has also been prayed over and crystal charged by myself.
Throughout my studies I have leaned that citrus oils in particular react to sunlight & should be kept out of direct sunlight to ensure longevity of the cologne. Everyones skin is different in terms of oils, sweat rate etc which affects the longevity of the scent. However this can be transferred into a spray bottle for all fabrics around the home/car and use in all the ways you usually would. I chose a flat bottle as there’s no chance of it rolling should it fall and it can be concealed more easily should you need to do so. It is also easier to write prayers, affirmations, draw symbols on etc.
Feel free to personalise your bottle by writing on it, placing prayers/petitions inside or adding dried herbs/spices for a specific purpose (dried is better as the cologne will last longer than with fresh. Use within 6 months if you add ingredients to it. If stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight without any additions it should last 12-24months). This is a 100ml glass bottle with a silver screw top lid.
